Prorated Refunds for Website Hosting
If you decide that you no longer wish to host your website with Champlain Hosting (which would be a bummer), you will recieve a pro-rated refund for the remainder of your plan, minus a $5.00 handling and chargeback fee.
In he case of the 2 Year Hosting with Free Domain name plan, your hosting refund will be pro-rated for the remainder of your plan, minus a $5.00 handling and chargeback fee in addition to $34.00, which is our normal price for a 2 year domain name registration.
Upgrades for $3.99 a month Website Hosting
If at some point during the three years of your $3.99 a month Website Hosting plan, you feel the need to upgrade, you can upgrade to a Business Website Hosting plan or a Beginner Website Hosting plan with additional disk space or bandwidth, but not at the $3.99 a month price. The way it would work is that your remaining time would be discounted from the new price of your hosting plan.
Example: Let's say your website has out grown the Beginner plan bandwidth limitations because your website has become so popular in the first 10 months. You don't need the extra disk space, just the bandwidth. You could switch to a Beginner plan with an additional 1GB of bandwidth.
You would have 26 months left of your $3.99 plan, which would equal $103.74. A one year Beginner plan with extra GB of bandwidth would be $117.00 ($105 for the Beginner plan + $12 for 12 months of 1GB extra bandwidth). The $103.74 would be applied to the $117.00. So you would pay $13.26 and your plan would expire at one year from the switch, instead of at the end of he original 3 year plan.
Domain Names
There is no refund policy for domain names. You may transfer your domain name to a different registrar at no additional cost from Champlain Hosting. For information on how to transfer a domain name name, check with your new registrar.
